What Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper is doing for our veterans:

Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper voted on July 29 to support our troops and veterans by ensuring critical funding for veterans health services and the construction of key facilities for training and housing our military. The Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act passed the House with bipartisan support.

Bill includes $670,000 for Hermitage Readiness Center.

“As our troops return home from Iraq, they should have easy access to the benefits they have earned through their brave service. Providing the VA ample resources to do their jobs is essential to fulfilling our promise to veterans,” said Rep. Dahlkemper. “We are also delivering on an important priority for the veteran community: advance funding for the VA to ensure that no veteran’s benefits are held up because of political games on Capitol Hill.”

Housing Authority of the City of Erie received a $107,346 grant

Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper announced on June 8 that the Housing Authority of the City of Erie received a $107,346 grant through the U.S. Housing and Urban Development’s Veteran Affairs Supportive Housing program. This federal funding will provide crucial rental assistance for homeless veterans in the Erie area, helping fulfill the promise to our veterans to provide for them after their heroic service.
